Job summary

A leading UK manufacturer in East Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to expand its procurement function. You will support strategy development and management of supplier relationships while overseeing sourcing and category management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and is CIPS qualified or working towards it. A competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 is offered.

A leading UK manufacturer, known for its consistent growth and operational excellence, is expanding its procurement function and now seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its evolving team.

Main Duties
  • Support the development and execution of the Indirect Procurement strategy.
  • Manage tenders, RFQs and benchmarking exercises to evaluate supplier proposals.
  • Make commercially sound recommendations aligned with business needs.
  • Oversee sourcing and category management of indirect spend areas.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and ensure robust contracts are in place.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop innovative sourcing solutions that enhance cost, service and quality year-on-year.
