A Procurement Manager is sought for a pivotal role in managing a procurement team for a growing manufacturer in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the function, driving value, managing supplier relationships, and mitigating risks.

Description

As the Procurement Manager, you will:

  1. Review current procurement processes, systems, and the supply base, and lead key development projects across these areas.
  2. Oversee supplier relationship management and performance, analyzing this against future capacities and product requirements.
  3. Assess current sourcing activities and the associated risks.
  4. Support the team to increase capability and engagement.
  5. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure the procurement strategy aligns with key objectives.

Profile

The ideal Procurement Manager should be:

  • Comfortable with driving change across systems, processes, and people, maintaining engagement throughout.
  • Able to balance a hands-on and strategic approach, being comfortable in both areas.
  • Capable of operating autonomously and driving the function.
  • Experienced in working in a long lead time environment, managing suppliers (Far East) to ensure OTIF is maintained.
  • Skilled at working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
