Overview

Procurement Manager. Electus Recruitment is partnering with a prominent organisation to secure a talented Procurement Manager. This pivotal permanent position offers the chance to contribute to a vast variety of critical projects primarily within the defence sector, delivering significant impact within complex and dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic procurement solutions and manage essential supply chain activities for diverse client engagements.
• Contribute directly to vital national programmes by leveraging procurement expertise to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage in extensive client interaction and UK travel to various project sites as a central aspect of the role.
• Base location options include Bristol or London, with travel commitments to client sites as described.

Requirements

• Nationality: Applicants must hold sole British National status due to the nature of client engagements.
• Qualifications: Essential CIPS qualification demonstrating a robust understanding of procurement principles.
• Mobility: Nationwide travel of up to three days per week and potentially outside commutable distance; current client locations include Bristol, London, Aldermaston, Portsmouth, Plymouth, and Derby.
• Base Location: Bristol or London, with travel commitments as noted.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• MCIPS certification is highly desirable, reflecting advanced procurement expertise.
• Existing SC security clearance would be a significant advantage.
• Proven experience within the defence sector is preferred.
• Alternatively, substantial procurement experience within critical infrastructure (rail, highways, utilities, or aviation) will be strongly considered.

Remuneration

This is a permanent contract offering a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £70,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
