Role Purpose

As a Cluster Procurement Business Partner, you will act as the primary commercial procurement contact for the Operating Unit Vice President and senior leadership team. You will align procurement activities with OU strategic goals, drive value through robust category strategies, and ensure the delivery of sustainable, cost-effective procurement solutions across multiple European markets.

Working closely with three fellow Procurement Business Partners and the wider MVH Commercial team, you will shape and lead strategic procurement initiatives, influence stakeholders at all levels, and contribute to the transformation of commercial procurement across MVH Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic alignment between Commercial Procurement and senior OU stakeholders, turning high-level goals into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the OU leadership team, providing insights, data, and solutions that shape sourcing and commercial decisions.
  • Own the procurement workstream for high-value, multi-country commercial projects-guiding initiatives from concept to delivery.
  • Develop and manage a multi-year savings and value-creation roadmap with clear visibility, governance, and accountability.
  • Partner with Category Managers to co-create and execute commercial strategies that balance European-wide priorities with local market needs.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives focused on innovation, ESG, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
  • Facilitate key Business Reviews with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment, performance tracking, and effective risk management.
  • Use spend analytics and market intelligence to influence strategy and challenge assumptions at local and central levels.
  • Champion process standardisation and procurement technology adoption (e.g., Coupa, ServiceNow).
  • Contribute to pan-European transformation programs, cross-functional workstreams, and innovation projects.
  • Own and communicate the Approved Supplier List (PSL); ensure compliance across markets in collaboration with Category Managers and local teams.
  • Partner effectively with senior stakeholders across Operations, Medical, P&O, and Corporate Relations to deliver commercial procurement outcomes.
  • Support Buying Operations colleagues by enhancing their knowledge of preferred suppliers and guiding resolution of clinic-level supplier issues.
Experience Required
  • Degree and/or CIPS qualification (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of Procurement / Sourcing experience with proven exposure to strategic sourcing methodologies.
Skills & Experience
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English; additional European languages desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated analytical and negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and deliver procurement strategies.
  • Creative problem-solver who brings ideas, solutions, and resilience in ambiguous environments.
  • Proven track record of cost savings and broader value delivery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and e-sourcing tools; experience with SAP, Coupa or similar systems required.
  • Deep knowledge of procurement principles, standards, and policies.
  • Experience in international environments; veterinary industry experience a plus but not essential.
