Overview

A foot in the door at Futures. At Futures we're committed to providing our customers with the best service possible on our mission to deliver ‘Great Places’, ‘Great Services’ and ‘Great Tomorrows’. Could you be the one we’re looking for to take the first step on your Futures’ journey as our very first Procurement Apprentice on an initial 15 month fixed term contract. Please note that Apprenticeship start salaries are age dependent and may vary accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • You’ll be part of a supported, knowledgeable and proactive team who’ll be there to guide you as you assist with procurement administration, contract support, supplier onboarding and procurement compliance processes, while gaining experience in line with core competences of professional procurement practice.
  • Gain proficiency in software platforms including MS Excel, Word, and procurement systems (e.g., Procurement Portals, Orchard).
  • Attend in-house and online training aligned with public sector procurement and compliance.
  • Build confidence in supporting and interacting with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the wider procurement team.
Qualifications
  • You’ll be organised and you’ll need those great communication/attention to detail skills of yours.
  • You’ll also be comfortable with numbers, accurate and have a passion for data which will be valuable as you progress with your learning in this great opportunity to enter the world of procurement.

Working pattern & benefits

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Fri, paid monthly. You'll get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days holiday at Christmas. We also offer great flexibility around business needs.
