The firm

A leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong regional presence across the North of England and Scotland are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join their Leeds office. Their Private Client team advise an impressive range of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and family groups - providing bespoke tax planning and advisory services that make a genuine impact.

The role

As a Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of key client relationships and deliver high-level advisory work across IHT, CGT, trusts, estates, residence and domicile, and succession planning. You'll also play a major role in mentoring junior managers and supporting the growth and direction of the Private Client service line.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex advisory projects across a wide range of private client issues
• Managing a high-value portfolio of HNWI and trust clients
• Reviewing and delivering technically accurate tax advice in collaboration with Partners
• Building long‑term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
• Managing, coaching, and developing junior members of the team
• Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to firm growth strategy

About you

• CTA qualified (or ACA/STEP with strong tax background)
• Significant experience in private client tax, with strong technical advisory skills
• Proven experience managing both clients and teams
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
• Commercially minded with ambition to progress to Director
