A specialist tax boutique is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients in a fully remote role. You will oversee the complete tax compliance cycle, ensuring accuracy in preparations and timely filings. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications like ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent experience, alongside strong communication skills and a solid understanding of UK personal tax legislation. This position offers flexibility and autonomy in service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to manage a personal tax portfolio independently.
  • Solid technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation is required.
  • Proven experience in preparing self-assessment tax returns with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end‑to‑end personal tax compliance process for HNW individuals.
  • Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaise directly with clients and HMRC, handling queries and correspondence.
  • Ensure all filings are completed on time and in line with current legislation.
  • Identify and flag planning opportunities where appropriate.

Our Client

This specialist tax boutique provides a high-quality service to a client base which is almost entirely generated from recommendations and referrals. With a lean and agile structure, they offer a highly personalised service and are looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join them in a part-time (probably 3 days), fully remote capacity.

The Role

This is a hands‑on role for someone confident managing their own portfolio of HNW clients with minimal supervision. You’ll be responsible for the full compliance cycle, from preparing returns to liaising directly with clients and HMRC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end‑to‑end personal tax compliance process for HNW individuals
  • Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
  • Liaise directly with clients and HMRC, handling queries and correspondence
  • Ensure all filings are completed on time and in line with current legislation
  • Identify and flag planning opportunities where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
  • Professionally qualified (ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA) or qualified by experience
  • Proven ability to manage a personal tax portfolio independently
  • Strong communication skills and client‑handling confidence
  • Solid technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
