Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Leeds is seeking an experienced Prisoner Trainer/Mentor to deliver structured training sessions and support rehabilitation for individuals in custody. You will engage with participants through group and one-on-one sessions and help prepare them for release. The ideal candidate has experience in structured training, strong communication skills, and an understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized groups. This position is full-time and requires a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured sessions in group settings.
• Strong communication skills to motivate participants.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Experience supporting offenders or marginalized groups.
• Awareness of barriers faced by individuals in custody.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging group sessions on various topics.
• Complete initial assessments and create tailored action plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one guidance to review goals.
• Manage a caseload balancing group delivery and support.
• Monitor progress and follow Health & Safety procedures.
