Principal Town Planner | Leeds | Permanent

An independent national planning consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Town Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of high-profile projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, education, energy, retail, sport and leisure. They will play a key role in delivering planning advice and applications across a wide range of sectors, working with leading national clients including housebuilders, developers, universities, and sports organisations. The firm has a strong track record of securing permission for major schemes, including large-scale student accommodation developments, university campus projects, and residential communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning advice and manage planning applications across multiple sectors (residential, commercial, education, energy, retail, sport and leisure).
• Work with leading national clients including housebuilders, developers, universities and sports organisations.
• Contribute to securing planning permissions for major schemes such as large-scale student accommodation, university campus projects, and residential communities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support delivery of planning strategies and proposals.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRTPI status
• RTPI accredited planning degree or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
• Relevant experience across a variety of sectors
