Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
  • Develop, implement, and test novel video coding algorithms to enhance compression efficiency and enable new user experiences.
  • Engage in hands-on research and contribute to international standardization efforts.
  • Generate research ideas and contribute to work that leads to technology transfer, publications, and intellectual property.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., EE, computer science, signal processing); PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in algorithm development for video coding tools.
  • Strong background in image/video signal processing and compression, familiar with standards like HEVC and VVC.
  • Excellent mathematical and theoretical skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with international standardization (e.g., JVET, MPEG).
  • Experience in AI/neural network-based video compression.
  • Knowledge of emerging video formats (360-degree, 6DOF).
  • Proven track record of patents and publications in video/image processing.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
