Principal Product Marketing Manager - Developer Marketing

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to educate and inspire developers to build on Elasticsearch. This role involves creating content for technical audiences, including messaging, positioning, campaign support, and field enablement.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, sales, and partners across marketing. A strong understanding of Elastic’s products and solutions, related markets, and the ability to create compelling narratives are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical product marketing lead for Search and Platform, driving awareness and market penetration.
  • Serve as an internal authority on the developer persona.
  • Craft technical and differentiated outbound product messaging and content (blogs, videos, tutorials, web pages, webinars).
  • Enable the field on our solutions through training and content.
  • Build and implement plans to reach and champion relationships with our developer and technology partner ecosystem.
  • Plan and implement product launches, creating launch materials and coordinating with team members.
  • Build positive partnerships with Product Management, Engineering, and Community.
  • Attend and present at Elastic events and trade shows.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in product marketing for technical products.
  • Proven track record of marketing to developers or technical practitioners.
  • Curiosity about technology and the ability to create compelling content.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a distributed team.
  • Experience as a spokesperson for product capabilities.
  • Direct experience with developers and application builders.
  • Product marketing experience with technical SaaS or infrastructure products.
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Elastic Platform, or our solutions.
