The role

As a Principal Planner, you’ll be embedded within one of the UK’s most complex defence infrastructure programmes. Working on the PP&E project, you’ll influence long-term outcomes, mentor fellow planners, promote consistency, and lead initiatives to improve project delivery. Your role includes overseeing planning governance, providing leadership across sub-programmes, supporting onboarding and development, managing a team of planners, and championing best practices.

The position is full time, 37 hours per week, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements: 2 days on-site and 3 remote days per week.

Essential experience
  • Leadership in a planning function within engineering or defence programmes
  • Strong understanding of planning governance, assurance, and quality
Qualifications
  • A degree in project controls, engineering, or equivalent experience
