We're hiring for a Principal Medical Writer or Associate Scientific Director specialising in publications for a high-profile oncology account at a leading MedComms agency.

This opportunity is for a seasoned senior or principal medical writer ready to oversee the scientific integrity of account workstreams. Available on a remote or hybrid basis, the role involves autonomous leadership of content delivery, ensuring strategic alignment and high-quality output while managing client relationships and internal team development.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead the development of scientific materials across accounts, ensuring content is strategically aligned and suitable for the intended audience.
  • Act as the primary scientific point of contact for clients and external experts, leading meetings and providing strategic guidance.
  • Oversee quality standards by briefing, reviewing, and mentoring junior writers to ensure accuracy and adherence to editorial processes.
The experience you'll need
  • A life science degree is required, with a higher degree (MSc or PhD) considered desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years' medical writing experience gained within a medical communications agency setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in briefing and reviewing work, alongside previous responsibility for mentoring or line management.
