A leading aerospace and defense company in the UK is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The role encompasses electronic design responsibilities including PCB layout, circuit simulation, and design verification for a variety of high-tech solutions. Strong qualifications in electronic engineering and significant experience with PCB development tools are essential. Principal Electronics Engineer
In this electronic engineering role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team within our Precision Guidance area. The role requires broad electronic knowledge in the digital and analogue domains.
Development responsibilities may include requirements capture, schematic capture and PCB Layout (Dx Designer and Expedition - Siemens EDA), circuit simulation, driving the design review process whilst collaborating with other engineering functions and manufacturing.
You will also be responsible for devising and implementing all necessary design verification tests and supporting documentation required to allow your new designs to transition into production.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
The company supports Hybrid work at home and in the office. This is mainly an office-based role using display screen equipment, but you will also work in a development lab and occasionally in a production area in a clean room environment. Working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad-hoc basis will be required. Occasional travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays will be required.
