This role demands a seasoned consultant with deep expertise across hybrid IT environments, cloud platforms, infrastructure, automation, and cybersecurity. The Lead will be responsible for orchestrating the delivery of a robust, scenario-based DR strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams, and embedding sustainable DR practices across Customer’s technology domains.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the DR enhancement engagement, ensuring alignment with Customer’s business continuity goals and hybrid infrastructure dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Customer stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines, and quality assurance.

DR Strategy Development

  • Design a resilient DR strategy encompassing on-premises infrastructure, multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure), and third-party SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services.
  • Conduct maturity assessments and gap analyses against industry frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST), identifying areas for uplift.

Scenario Planning & Testing Frameworks

  • Develop diverse, realistic DR scenarios tailored to Customer’s risk landscape, including ransomware, data center outages, and cloud service failures.
  • Establish structured workflows for end-to-end DR testing, including interdependency mapping across systems, applications, and business processes.

Cloud & Automation Integration

  • Advise on cloud- DR approaches, automation of recovery workflows, and orchestration strategies for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms.
  • Evaluate existing tooling and provide vendor-neutral recommendations for DR enablement.

Infrastructure & Data Center Advisory

  • Provide technical guidance on recovery strategies for high-performance compute clusters, collocated data centers, and enterprise platforms.
  • Validate restoration sequences and dependencies critical to infrastructure resilience.

Network Security & Cyber Recovery

  • Integrate cyber recovery best practices into DR planning, with emphasis on ransomware response and hybrid threat scenarios.
  • Align recovery strategies with compliance and audit requirements.

Workshops & Capability Uplift

  • Design and deliver targeted workshops for infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams to embed repeatable DR practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams, enabling them to own and execute DR planning and testing independently.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years in disaster recovery consulting across hybrid IT environments.
  • Proven experience leading DR strategy engagements for large-scale enterprises.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), automation tools, and orchestration frameworks.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating technical workshops.

  • Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
  • Experience with high-performance compute environments and emulation platforms.
