Qualifications

  • Experience in analysis, design, and assessment of bridges.
  • Experience with masonry arches, prestressed and post tensioned concrete, and steel bridges.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analyses to assess load-carrying capacity of bridges.
  • Work on various bridge types and assist in technical progression.

Experience required
Essential
  • Substantial UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
  • Experienced in the analysis, design, and assessment of bridges and other types of highway structures
  • Experience of working on a wide range of bridge types including masonry arches, prestressed and post tensioned concrete, and various types of steel bridges.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a good understanding of structural behaviour.
  • Able to conduct structural analyses to assess the load‑carrying capacity of bridges in accordance with DMRB standards.
  • Able to use behavioural understanding and experience to understand why structures may be performing better than assessments suggest.
Desirable
  • CEng
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Relevant design software / CAD / Civils 3D where appropriate
  • Experience of using LUSAS and ARCHIE‑M
