Qualifications

Job description

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Knowsley. This role is for 5 days per week and is to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

Overview

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking Phonics and is competent with Early Years, KS1 and KS2 assessment framework.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to teachers and pupils in line with the needs of the class and school policies.
  • Assist with phonics and literacy activities and support learning across Early Years (EYFS), KS1 and KS2 where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress in line with the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Previous Early Years, KS1 and KS2 experience.
  • Two references working with children.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
