Job Title: Primary Teacher needed!

Location: Wednesbury

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: £170-£220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely primary SEND School in Wednesbury supporting their recruitment for a SEND Primary Teacher. The setting is centred on pupils’ development, with an intrinsic desire to help them progress academically and in their emotional, social and behavioural skills.

Responsibilities

The school is looking for a passionate team player to take on this long-term role. The successful SEND Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs, and have a positive impact on the wider school. The position may involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnoses including Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
