Overview

A welcoming and ambitious primary school located in the Sale area of Trafford is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join their team as a Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher. This position will begin in November 2025 and run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will deliver targeted small group and 1:1 interventions across Key Stage 2 to support pupils in closing attainment gaps, boosting confidence and accelerating progress in core subjects.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver focused intervention sessions in reading, writing and mathematics
  • Use assessment data to identify learning gaps and tailor support to individual needs
  • Track and monitor pupil progress closely, providing regular feedback to class teachers and leaders
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and motivation
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SEND/assessment team to ensure consistency and continuity of learning
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant Teaching qualification
  • A strong track record in Key Stage 2
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
