Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting an experienced Administrator to join a welcoming and well-supported primary school in Burnley. This is a full-time position, starting in January 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis until July 2026.

Position Details
  • Job Title: Administrator
  • Location: Burnley
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Hours: Full time
  • Pay: £12.21 - £13.33 per hour
  • Contract Type: Ongoing until July 2026
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team
  • Manage pupil records, admissions, attendance, and data using Arbor, SIMS, or similar systems
  • Monitor and follow up on pupil attendance in line with DfE guidance and school policies
  • Act as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies, both in person and via telephone/email
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and confidential information
  • Support the coordination of school communications, including letters, emails, and reports
  • Assist with safeguarding administration and ensure records are kept up to date
  • Support day-to-day office operations in a busy school environment
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have prior experience in a similar role or strong knowledge of school administration
  • Be confident using Arbor, SIMS, or similar school management systems
  • Have a sound understanding of school attendance regulations and DfE guidance
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Be highly organised, resilient, and able to manage a busy workload
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
