Overview

Would you like to be an experienced Grip Technician, and with a view to go on set? The role will be based at our busy Cardiff Service Centre, providing production equipment and logistics to the film and TV industry. On a day-to-day basis you will be required to prepare, maintain and clean grip equipment prior to going out on rent and also when returned from the completed contracts. Your duties will also include delivering and collecting the equipment.

Working alongside colleagues, you will be a great team player and take pride in your workplace and working environment, making sure that high standards are maintained whilst complying with company procedures and processes. Communicating effectively, ensuring that your Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as required.

About You

  • Prepare, maintain and clean grip equipment prior to going out on rent and when returned from contracts.
  • Deliver and collect equipment as required.
  • Maintain high standards and comply with company procedures and processes.
  • Communicate effectively to keep Line Manager and Customers informed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Understanding/Knowledge of the Film & TV sector
  • HGV license desirable / willing to obtain with the company
  • Mechanical/engineering background or understanding desirable
  • Clean driving license essential
  • Able to work within a team as well as independently
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to create and maintain internal and external relationships with clients
  • Strong commitment to delivering high standards
  • A safety-first approach is required. A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
  • Exceptional time keeping is required
