About this Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Prep School Teacher to join our school from April 2026 on a part-time (0.775 FTE), fixed term contract until July 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to boys aged 7-13, fostering pupil progress, and contributing actively to the work of the school.

You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student learning effectively, and take part in the wider life of the school, including pastoral duties and extra-curricular activities. Subject knowledge and experience in teaching Geography is expected, and the ability and willingness to teach other subjects would be ideal; a commitment to inclusive and inspiring teaching is essential.

The School has its own salary scale, which is above the national scale and fee remission is available for children of teaching staff in all the Harpur Trust Schools in Bedford.
