Premises Assistant - September start - Southwark

School Premises Assistant

  • 10.45am to 6.45pm

We are currently looking for a School Premises Assistant to join a school on a long-term basis to support the current team with general maintenance for a lovely Primary school in Southwark.

The Role

In this role you will be working 5 days a week on a temporary basis to cover for a month. The hours will be confirmed on appointment and may require flexibility for opening and closing the school.

Responsibilities
  • Support with general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities
  • Prepare areas within the school for events (furniture set up etc)
  • General upkeep and cleaning
  • Weekly fire alarm tests to be recorded in a spreadsheet
  • Health and safety knowledge needed
Requirements

To apply for this role you must be physically fit and have experience working in building maintenance. Previous experience in schools, colleges or educational settings is preferred but not essential for this role. You must have a dedicated and professional approach and will need to hold an Enhanced DBS or be prepared to have one processed.
