Overview

1 Year Fixed Term Contract – Preceptorship Midwife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence‑based care to pregnant and birthing people and their families in a compassionate, co‑produced manner.
  • Support women from the antenatal ward through labour to the post‑natal ward within an integrated model of care.
  • Participate in a robust preceptorship programme that includes clinical and pastoral training, additional teaching and development days.
  • After an extended super‑numerary period, develop competencies across all areas of midwifery and prepare for transition to band 6 midwife.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Newly qualified midwife willing to commit to a full preceptorship programme.
  • Motivated, open to positive change and transformation, and committed to high quality, compassionate care.
  • Supported by recruitment, retention midwives, clinical leads and practice development midwives throughout the programme.
