Customer Engineer
Department:Commercial
Reports To:Commercial Director

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a single contributor role where you will be the technical face of our company, building strong relationships with customers and presenting tailored cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical pre-sales and cloud computing, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, addressing their technical queries and requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to articulate the value of our solutions and support the development of proposals and presentations.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to create tailored cloud solutions for clients.
  • Assist in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies in collaboration with sales and marketing.
  • Provide enablement programs and training for customers to ensure successful adoption of solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with customers and cloud providers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales role.
  • 2+ years of experience working with a major cloud provider
  • Strong technical expertise and a proven ability to translate business needs into cloud solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Attend customer meetings to discuss and present tailored solutions.
  • Respond to technical customer queries directly or via account managers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce and review technical materials.
  • Participate in technical training and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support account managers with pre-sales activities, including drafting proposals and delivering technical presentations.

Travel Requirements

While the role is primarily remote, some travel may be required to meet customers or attend partner events.
