This two-year training program involves rotations through various pharmacy departments, working towards a BTEC Level 3 Diploma. An exciting opportunity has arisen at London Northwest University Hospital NHS Trust for a forward-thinking, ambitious pre-registration Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a two-year training contract. We are looking for a versatile individual who can cope with high pressure situations and adapt to an ever-advancing service. The successful student must prioritize their own workload and demonstrate flexibility within time constraints.
You will rotate through several departments within Pharmacy such as Dispensary, Stores & Distribution, Homecare, Technical Services and Purchasing to gain a full understanding of the service we provide and also gain experience working on wards with our dedicated Medicines Management team. The position offers a total of four posts, with two available at Ealing Hospital and two at Northwick Park Hospital. As a pre-registration Pharmacy Technician you will work towards attaining a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. Successful completion of both courses will enable you to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
You must be able to provide evidence of GCSE grades A*-C (4-9) in Maths, English and Science or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English with a GCSE in Science.
