A leading healthcare organization in Sheffield is offering a Pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician apprenticeship. This 24-month program includes skills development, working under the guidance of registered Pharmacists. A Pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician apprentice is employed on a fixed term Apprentice Agreement for 24 months. The contract is designed to provide a set of competencies, work experience and a qualification that could lead to employment within the pharmaceutical sector. The apprenticeship will commence in February 2026, subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in order to comply with NHS Employment Check Standards. The trust will support flexible working where possible, including options such as part-time hours.
Last year over 90% of all apprentices completing apprenticeships with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals went on to work with us. The role involves working under the direction of registered Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians within multidisciplinary teams, assisting in the provision and preparation of medicines to meet patient needs.
We provide a learning pathway that supports your ongoing career progression and includes collaboration with Bradford College on a day release basis over two years, with virtual classroom sessions taught by college tutors and workplace specialists. You will complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your learning and skills in practice in accordance with the apprenticeship framework.
