Responsibilities

  • Administer adult vaccinations and injections as required.

Responsibilities

As a Practice Nurse working for GPDQ, you will have access to a multi-tude of workstreams enabling you to develop a portfolio career. You will be working for a private company delivering high-quality nursing care within a private setting, supporting patients with acute and chronic health needs, preventative healthcare, and women’s health services. The post-holder will provide a full range of nursing services, while working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to meet practice priorities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and a passion for promoting preventative health measures.

  • Provide nursing services during surgery sessions, including face-to-face and telephone consultations
  • Deliver services including intrauterine device/system (IUD/IUS) fitting, removal, and aftercare
  • Conduct cervical cytology (smear tests)
  • Provide contraceptive advice and sexual health care
  • Undertake chronic disease management clinics (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension).
  • Provide immunisations (childhood, travel, seasonal)
  • Support health promotion, patient education, and lifestyle advice (e.g., smoking cessation, weight management)
  • Administer adult vaccinations and injections as requiredAssist with minor surgery and other treatment room duties
  • Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records on the clinical system (EMIS / SystmOne or equivalent)
  • Work flexibly as part of the wider practice team.
