Overview

Northgate Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our experienced and supportive nursing and healthcare team. We are a forward-thinking practice known for our welcoming atmosphere and commitment to high-quality patient care. This is a part-time maternity cover role, ideal for someone looking to work in a collaborative environment that values professional growth and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of nursing services to our patient population
• Support chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, health screening, and health promotion
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with best practices
• Work alongside a skilled, friendly team of healthcare professionals

GMS involvement

• Management of long-term conditions and chronic disease patients
• Delivery of QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) targets
• Participation in enhanced services
• Full attendance at practice meetings to support collaborative, multidisciplinary care

Requirements

We are looking for someone with prior Primary Care experience, who brings excellent clinical competencies, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring safe and effective care for our patient population.

About the Practice

Northgate Medical Centre is located in the heart of Chester, we are a warm, welcoming, and patient-focused GP surgery dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients. We operate from a fully modern, purpose-built facility, designed to support excellent clinical care in a comfortable and accessible environment. We currently have a list size of approximately 8,800 patients. Our team consists of 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, Practice Manager, 2 Deputy Practice Managers, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Manager, 2 Practice Nurses, Nurse Associate, Healthcare Assistant, GP Assistant and an extremely experienced Administration and Reception Team. As a proud Training Practice, we support the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals by hosting GP Registrars, Medical Students, and Student Nurses.
