A leading GP practice in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Manager to ensure effective operations, financial management, and optimal patient care. As Practice Manager, you will be integral to the successful operation of overseeing business, financial, and human resources aspects, and ensuring optimal patient care. This is a varied and demanding role that requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will work closely with our Managing/Clinical Partners and staff to manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, motivate the team, and ensure we meet our strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient processes and effective appointment systems.
Financial Management: Support the Partners in developing and implementing processes to achieve financial targets.
Human Resources: Lead on staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations, NHS contractual obligations, and information governance requirements, including GDPR.
Strategic Development: Contribute to practice strategy, identify opportunities and threats, and lead or coordinate projects for practice development.
Patient Services: Optimise patient experience and service delivery, manage patient records, and address patient concerns or complaints.
IT Systems: Ensure all practice IT and telephone systems function effectively and stay abreast of new technology.
Premises and Equipment: Manage all aspects of the practice premises, ensuring they are safe, effective, and fit for purpose.
Communication & Relationships: Maintain strong internal communication and build good working relationships with NHS England, ICBs, community agencies, and the Primary Care Network (PCN).
