Redwood House Surgery is providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Manager to join our friendly Practice team. We are looking for a proactive, conscientious Practice Manager with essential experience in HR, finance, day-to-day operational management, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
- Ensure the practice is compliant with NHS, information governance, CQC, or health-related requirements.
- Recommend improvements to how we could work more efficiently and review administration systems to establish efficient ways of working.
- Ensure staff are trained to provide cover for all administrative functions and patient queries to maintain a multi-skilled, flexible team.
- Communicate with all staff and keep them up to date; motivate and manage staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Be responsible for communications with patients, including complaints handling, website, online patient access, and patient newsletters.
- Support practice management with new projects and developments and practice administration.
- Maximise patient healthcare to achieve maximum QOF achievement.
- Develop processes to aid recruitment and HR functions.
- Review and maintain up-to-date policies and practice administration such as minutes, practice policies, Team Net, HR requirements, etc.
- Organise staff rotas and coordinate holiday requests to ensure adequate cover at all times.
- Ensure the work environment is kept clean, tidy and well organised, with due regard to health and safety.
- Work closely with the Partners and Management team to provide support as required.

Person Specification
- Experience in a management role in General Practice with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Good IT skills, experience of working in EMIS Web and knowledge about QOF, Arden, LCS
- Experience in overseeing CQC inspection
- Experience in working with Primary Care Network
