Due toretirement, The Hart Surgery is providing an exciting opportunity for anenthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our Practice team. We arelooking for an outstanding leader with a strong business mindset and a genuinepassion for people. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicatorwith strong team-working skills who feels comfortable leading andimplementing change. Theywill need to be adaptable, flexible and able to work autonomously. GeneralPractice is a busy environment where no two days are the same.

The role is part-time (25-30 hours a week across 4/5 days)

Main duties of the job

The role encompasses overall responsibility for finance, HR, facilities,governance, IT systems, and operational leadership. Working closely with thePartners and our assistant practice manager, you will ensure the practiceoperates efficiently, meets strategic goals, and supports our patient-centredethos.

The Hart Surgery is a highly regarded training practice situated in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, with a list size of around 10,600 patients. We are a busy and welcoming practice, with excellent patient care at the centre of what we do. Based in the South of Oxfordshire, near the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire borders, we are ideally located for those who wish to commutefrom many different areas.

Job responsibilities

Overallmanagement responsibility for the practice's non-clinical business functions,including but not limited to finance, IT systems and data processing,compliance, and governance.

Ensure theeffective use of existing and new IT systems to support performance, adaptingand innovating where required.

Provideleadership and coordination of administrative and non-clinical teams.

Workcollaboratively with clinical teams to support high-quality service delivery.

Holdresponsibility for achieving all primary care contractual targets.

Supportthe Partners in strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Person Specification
Experience
  • Proven leadership and people management skills;
