Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification or be prepared to gain this within three years.
  • Background in Mental health is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work-based learning programme(s) in Health and Social Care.

We have two full-time roles available, working 37 hours per week, however we will also welcome applications from people who wish to work on a part-time basis.

Join our progressive and high-achieving Faculty of Health as a passionate educator, where you'll deliver innovative, high-quality teaching across a range of vocational and work-based programmes.

For one of the roles we are particularly interested in candidates who have a background in Mental health and ideally hold (or are working towards) an NHS PIN.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties
  • High-quality, innovative teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of vocational and work-based learning courses.
  • Assessing upon a range of accredited programmes across Health and Social Care, as required, delivering the learning aims of students.
  • To course lead vocational and work-based learning programme(s) of study for learners in the Health and Social Care division, ensuring high levels of achievement and success.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Social Care industry, specifically within the Health sector.
  • Relevant medical and/or clinical occupational experience.
  • Understanding and Experience of key health and social care practices.
  • Teaching Qualification*.

*All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College
