Our Transmission team work across Europe ensuring that our generation and storage projects benefit from optimal grid connections. This complex but exciting environment provides working knowledge of the grid connection procedure, the regulatory environment surrounding it and the evaluation of commercial and operational risks. You will contribute to the development of power flow and congestion models, support and contribute to critical external stakeholder meetings and engagement activity (e.g. with Transmission Operators), review UK transmission policy changes, assist the team in identifying optimal points of connection for current and future renewable generation projects, and support us to undertake commercial risk assessments of grid related policies and constraints.

We are looking for students who are in the penultimate year of an electrical, power or renewable energy engineering degree or similar (if your studies have included energy policy or economics, that would be an added bonus) and who are ideally on course to achieve a 2:1 or higher.
