Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer for a 3-month contract. This role focuses on developing and troubleshooting high-power motor control systems, optimizing power management, and addressing thermal performance issues. Candidates should have strong experience in power electronics and DC motor control, along with skills in circuit design and hardware debugging. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

3 Month Contract (Initially) • OUTSIDE IR35 • Edinburgh Area

We're looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to develop and troubleshoot high‑power motor control systems. The core challenge: improving power management and thermal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Solve motor-control issues in high‑power conditions and optimise overall power management.
  • Work with H-bridge motor control architectures and address heat‑related performance problems.
  • Carry out hands‑on debugging, testing, and validation of motor control hardware.
  • Design and layout circuits and PCBs with correct thermal and power‑distribution considerations.
