  • Research and implement cutting‑edge electronics and power technologies.
  • Manage designs from initial schematic and layout through prototyping, verification, and product release.
  • Develop simulation and modelling of electronic systems using mathematical tools.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards throughout the design process.
  • Maintain clear documentation and reports in accordance with internal procedures.
New Product Introduction & Lifecycle Support
  • Translate product requirements into practical engineering solutions while considering commercial constraints.
  • Coordinate across functions (production, test, procurement) to ensure designs are optimised for manufacturing (DFx).
  • Manage component selection for performance, cost, and lifecycle (obsolescence planning).
  • Provide technical support for existing products, troubleshooting hardware/firmware issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders or third‑party vendors.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with R&D partnerships including academic collaborators and innovation centres.
  • Support software/firmware teams in integrating control algorithms into new product designs.
  • Interface with subcontractor design teams and third‑party systems as needed.
  • Deliver training on new products to technical and non‑technical departments.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and ensure solutions are future‑proofed.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Timely delivery of product milestones within scope and budget.
  • Reduction in design errors and support issues.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement in quality and process documentation.
Compliance & Quality Standards
