Why this job is important to us

The team you will join is part of Charles River Development (CRD), which became part of State Street in 2018. CRD creates enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds, and together we launched the first open front‑to‑back platform, State Street Alpha, in 2019.

What you will be responsible for
  • Leveraging strong industry knowledge across multiple asset classes and navigating the CRD/Alpha ecosystem while building relationships with internal supporting teams.
  • Analyzing and evaluating requirements issues, providing product expertise and guidance throughout the post go‑live journey.
  • Educating customers on the methodologies and functionality provided by CRIMS and advising on best practices for implementing and operating Charles River solutions.
  • Identifying potential enhancements to Charles River solutions, documenting and communicating product improvements based on customer requirements or market trends.
  • Maintaining a client issues list and status reporting.
  • Training users on existing workflows.
  • Gathering requirements for new asset classes, security types, or business lines and working with Professional Services to assign resources to deliverables.
  • Contributing to software quality by communicating defects to Client Support and Product Management, supporting defect resolution, and suggesting documentation improvements.
What we value
  • Experience implementing or supporting Front, Middle or Back Office Investment Management systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mission‑critical financial solutions, especially within a bank, hedge fund or asset manager.
  • Hands‑on experience with order‑management and compliance systems.
  • Knowledge of fixed income, equity financial instruments, derivatives and FX instruments.
  • Technical skills in multi‑tier architectures, relational databases, SQL, FIX and reporting tools.
  • Strong customer‑service record and the ability to convey plans, issues and concerns clearly and concisely.
  • Customer‑driven attitude, teamwork, and focus on high‑quality service.
  • Strong time‑management and analytical problem‑solving skills.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science; an advanced degree or industry certification (e.g., CFA) is a strong plus.
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Travel as required by the customer.
