Job description

Nickel Digital Asset Management is one of Europe’s premier investment firms. We specialise in digital assets and alternative strategies, combining institutional-grade infrastructure with the agility and vision of a cutting-edge fintech firm. Backed by a team of world-class financial professionals, we are shaping the future of multi-strategy fund management with our Diversified Alpha Fund - a pioneering multi-manager vehicle investing across a range of strategies within the global digital asset space.

As a Portfolio Analyst, you’ll work at the heart of our multi-manager hedge fund platform. Partnering closely with the investment leadership team, you'll be exposed to cutting-edge trading strategies and a vibrant network of ‘Pod’ managers – each driving alpha in global digital asset markets.

What you’ll do
  • Collaborate directly with the Co-CIOs to oversee the fund.
  • Coordinate daily interactions with Pod managers - monitoring, analysing, and supporting their trading activity.
  • Perform detailed quantitative analysis on Pod strategies, risk metrics and P&L.
  • Contribute to the due diligence and selection of both new and existing Pods.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Pods becoming a key point of contact.
Your technical skills and experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university (Russell Group or international equivalent).
  • 1–4 years’ experience in a finance, data science, or an investment-related role.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical modelling skills and a foundation in quantitative methods (e.g., volatility, correlation, Monte Carlo simulations, VaR).
  • Python to at least intermediate level.
  • A natural problem-solver with a hands-on approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Experience in managing large databases and datasets is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of digital assets, market-neutral strategies or trade execution is a plus - but not a dealbreaker; we provide training.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Performance-based year-end bonus
  • Stock options
  • 25 days holiday + UK bank holidays
  • Private healthcare & Nickel company pension plan
  • Daily catered meals & annual wellbeing program
