Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highlymotivated and enthusiastic HCPC registered podiatrist to join out dynamic andsupportive podiatry team at Your Healthcare CIC.

This band 6 post is ideal for a podiatrist to further develop their clinical skills and contribute to high quality podiatry service.

If successful, you will provide treatment and management to patients with complex medical and / or foot health needs. You will also be involved in service development and delivery directives including clinical governance and risk management.

There is also the opportunity to work in the organisation’s private practice. Your Podiatry offers a range of new treatment technologies including lunula laser treatment and swift therapy.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the role:

  • To provide high quality evidence based podiatric care to patients with a variety of foot health needs
  • Manage a complex caseload independently, including high risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical assessments and nail surgery
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with other healthcare professionals
  • Support service development and clinical audit
  • Participate in supervision, training and mentoring of band 5 staff and students
What we are looking for
  • Local Analgesia certificate
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Experience working with high risk patients, including those with diabetes
  • Experience of NHS podiatry and domiciliary care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skill
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • You will need to be a car driver and have access to a vehicle
