PMCM Energy Opportunity

PMCM is our new project, programme, cost and commercial management discipline that provides a range of project-related services across multiple market sectors including transportation, buildings, water, energy and defence.

Reporting to the PMCM Head of Discipline, the successful candidate will set the direction for WSP\'s PMCM activities in the Energy sector and will be the driving force for business development, growth activities and delivery. They will use their network to identify opportunities, lead client development and business growth capability, assist in winning bids, and help develop relationships with key clients. They will initially lead delivery work and help establish and grow a PMCM Energy team, and lead the development and implementation of the 3-year PMCM Energy Strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development, ongoing co-ordination and updates of 3-year Energy strategy.
  • Lead and champion PMCM Energy related Key Account Management.
  • Lead PMCM Energy related Business Development - internal and Client facing.
  • Lead Strategic level bids and lead the initial phase of delivery.
  • Strategic overview of Energy markets and key opportunities, maintaining pipeline.
  • Lead and develop Energy client management, pursuit management and authoring capabilities.

  • The ability to be a confident leader with proven strategy, business growth and delivery experience in the broad Energy sector.

  • The ability to effectively engage others to achieve sector goals.
  • A hard-working self-starter with initiative, able to set own and sector priorities.
  • The ability to work in complex organisations in a team environment and develop relationships and rapport with external clients and internal colleagues.

  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with executive stakeholders.
  • The ability to work at a strategic level as well as being ‘hands on\' when required.

  • Professional manner and able to work effectively under pressure, supporting others to do the same.
  • Strong organisational skills – can effectively manage several projects concurrently, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
