Responsibilities include emergency responses and tool maintenance, with participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to carry out day‑to‑day repairs, maintenance, and bathroom installations in domestic and commercial properties across the Isle of Wight. You'll work as part of a friendly team and should have a positive attitude, good customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Do

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and bathroom installations
• Complete basic tiling, minor carpentry, and small decorative tasks when needed
• Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions
• Respond to emergency jobs when required
• Keep customers and the office updated on progress
• Use a PDA to record work and upload photos
• Follow all Health & Safety requirements
• Maintain tools and company vehicle to a good standard
• Take part in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 2‑3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
• Minimum 7 years' plumbing experience
• Experience with bathroom installs (at least 3 years)
• Confident using press tools and pipe freezing kits
• Basic carpentry skills for small repairs
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable

• Experience in building maintenance or working in educational/commercial environments
