A leading facilities management company is seeking a permanent Plumber to join their account in HMP Whatton, UK. This role involves ensuring maintenance work is carried out safely and on time within the prison environment. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and relevant plumbing qualifications (preferably NVQ level 3) along with experience in plumbing maintenance. The position follows a shift pattern that includes some weekend work, with a 39-hour work week.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in HMP Whatton, this role is based on-site.
There is a need to work some weekends on a rota basis and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.

Plumber plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, across 7 days as a weekend shift pattern is in place, covering 1 in 3 weekends.
What makes this role unique is you will ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and to the agreed method statements. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have Legionella Control (L8) and experience in a commercial environment to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
