Job summary

Overview

Fortress Recruit is supporting a Defence Engineering organisation seeking an experienced PLM Lead Administrator to manage and optimise their Product Lifecycle Management system. This role is central to the day-to-day operation of the PLM platform, ensuring smooth performance, data control, and effective support for engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead administration, configuration, and daily operation of the PLM system (Windchill).
  • Manage engineering data, workflows, and change control processes.
  • Deliver user training, coaching, and support.
  • Liaise with software suppliers to resolve issues and implement system improvements.
  • Configure products, folder structures, object types, and templates.
  • Maintain system housekeeping, licences, and access control.
  • Provide reports and insights on system performance and data status.
  • Support CAD data structures, common part libraries, and legacy digital data.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience administering PLM systems, specifically Windchill as a super-user.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering data management, CAD integration, and configuration control.
  • Ability to train and support users at all levels.
  • Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
