Planning Officer needed in Conwy

The rate is £24.75ph PAYE

This is a temporary role

The reference number is: OR7226

The successful candidate will lead and supervise a team handling Development Management matters, including processing complex major planning applications. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient performance of the section and will act as the lead officer at Planning Committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of Planning Officers, ensuring high standards in Development Management operations.
  • Lead the processing of major planning applications, providing expert guidance on complex cases.
  • Act as the designated lead officer at Planning Committee meetings, ensuring effective representation.
  • Attend monthly Planning Committee meetings and site visits to support decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the planning section.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a requirement to attend the office in at least once a week. Additionally, candidates must commit to attending monthly Planning Committee meetings and site visits.
