We are looking for a Planning Director to join our team on FTC basis. The opportunity to work on a varied mix of rewarding and fast-paced clients where you’re working on super interesting and non-traditional creative briefs with our partners as well as proper behaviour change campaigns alongside our team of brilliant experts at Walnut/HUL. This role actively straddles different agencies and departments, proactively working towards meetings and leading the strategic direction of the account. Responsibilities include setting up creative work, preparing decks quickly for last-minute stakeholders, and engaging with individuals who may not be communication professionals. The role is NOT for someone who delegates the doing; as a Creative Planner, you will seek a ‘leap’—not only a right answer but a more interesting one. We need someone who pushes for better work, challenges the creative process, thinks laterally about solutions, and helps creatives achieve their best.

Please note this role is offered on FTC basis for a maternity cover.

Requirements
Skills
  • Strong core skills - journey planning, targeting and segmentation, messaging platforms, insight and proposition development
  • Ability to draw on consumer insight and analytics to craft convincing stories that influence senior clients and agency peers
  • Good judge of creative work, knows how to help creative teams produce their best work, brand literate
  • Good understanding of effectiveness methodologies
  • Awareness of social and digital channel developments and technological innovations, with the ability to leverage these to meet brand objectives
  • Excellent collaborator and delegator, able to motivate peers and clients
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Commercially astute, able to identify and act on growth opportunities
Experience
  • Substantial experience with ATL campaigns
  • Experience in writing creative briefs and strategic storytelling
  • Experience working in a creative agency environment
  • Depth and breadth of experience required
  • Experience with government accounts is advantageous
  • Experience with personalisation and dynamic content development
