A leading NHS Trust in Bath is seeking a Planning, Costing and Productivity Accountant to manage costing systems and provide valuable financial insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate cost data and supporting operations across Bath, Swindon, and Salisbury. This role offers the opportunity to enhance financial management, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to the evolution of healthcare through rigorous financial analysis. Hybrid working is supported with two to three days per week on site.

Our Planning, Costing and Productivity teams at RUH Bath, GWH Swindon and SFT Salisbury have come together as part of the new BSW Hospitals Group, creating an exciting opportunity to shape a smarter, more integrated approach to costing across all three Trusts.
We’re now recruiting talented individuals to help us build this new way of working. With roles based at any of our group sites — Bath, Swindon or Salisbury — you’ll be part of a forward‑thinking team working at scale to deliver real impact.
Planning, Costing and Productivity in the NHS is a chance to bring real insight into how resources are used throughout the patient journey. Our team calculates the cost of every activity the Group provides, delivering mandatory cost returns, service line reporting and high‑quality information that influences key decision‑making, planning and benchmarking across the organisation.
As a Planning, Costing and Productivity Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing and running the Group’s costing systems, producing accurate, meaningful costed activity data on a quarterly cycle. You’ll drive continuous improvement in data quality, help refine costing processes, and work closely with colleagues across finance and operational teams to ensure our insights make a difference.
The Group supports hybrid working, with two to three days per week on site.
