What You’ll Do

Depending on your experience, you’ll:

  • Manage a caseload of planning applications, from householder proposals to minor developments, agricultural development, and associated appeals
  • Provide clear, impartial advice to applicants and the public
  • Promote sustainable principles across the National Park
  • Promote excellence in design
Who We’re Looking For

You’ll bring either:

  • A qualification in planning or a related subject (HND or degree level)
  • OR
  • Experience working in a planning department (public or private sector)

Plus, you’ll have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach
  • The ability to interpret plans and apply policy with sound judgment
  • IT and GIS proficiency
  • A full driving licence

RTPI membership (or working towards it) is a big plus
