Planning Manager

The NRL Group are currently looking for an experienced Piping Project Manager to deliver a significant work package on a major power generation construction project in the South West.

What will the role consist of?
  • Execution of the discipline works piping construction strategy as defined by the Construction Manager.
  • Creation of a detailed plan and sub schedule to ensure all works within the discipline are completed in accordance with the overall schedule.
  • Coordinating with engineering department and subcontract partners to support delivery of piping discipline works to time and budget.
  • Chairing regular progress meetings with responsible construction and installation subcontract partners to drive and monitor progress, and to support with seamless implementation of any required corrective actions.
  • Thorough investigation and taking remedial action within the scope of the discipline works of all variances, deviations, non-conformances, extra works, claims, non-budgeted costs, etc., and coordination with the site contracts manager and other site management to eliminate or minimise the cost impact to the project.
  • Maintaining all records of progress within the scope of piping construction discipline works.
  • Ensuring that subcontractors and those delivering across the piping construction discipline works are in compliance with the relevant site and project EHS requirements.
  • Preparation and submittal of detailed construction reports to site management.
  • Stakeholder management and acting as the primary point of contact for matters relevant to the piping scope of works, with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews of subordinate personnel.

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in piping or mechanical construction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
