Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble bespoke stainless steel and high-temperature pipework systems.
  • Perform precision TIG welding to high hygienic and structural standards.
  • Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and mechanical layouts.
  • Support project engineers to ensure installations are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.

Location: Halifax

Hourly Rate: £20 per hour (£40,560 per annum + Overtime)

Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm (Mon-Thurs), 7:00am - 3:00pm (Fri)

Join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke solutions to industry leaders. We are looking for an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join a well-established and expanding engineering firm based in the Halifax area. You\'ll play a hands-on role in the fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation of high-spec process pipework for clients across the food & beverage processing and pharmaceutical sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to take ownership of quality-driven work and contribute to a variety of tailored engineering projects — both in the workshop and on client sites.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble bespoke stainless steel and high-temperature pipework systems
  • Perform precision TIG welding to high hygienic and structural standards
  • Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and mechanical layouts
  • Work both in-house and on customer sites, following clear project plans
  • Support project engineers to ensure installations are delivered safely, accurately, and on time
  • Maintain excellent safety practices and adhere to hygiene, quality, and risk protocols
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in a pipefitting or fabrication role
  • Apprentice-trained or qualified in welding/fabrication or mechanical engineering
  • Skilled in stainless steel welding, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in working on temperature-sensitive or hygiene-critical pipework systems
  • Experience working with 6G 2" Schedule Stainless Steel and 6G 2" Dairy Pipework
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
  • Full UK driving licence essential for occasional site travel
