Overview

Richard Huish College has a strong regional reputation offering A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset. We are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic Physio/Sports Therapist to join our programme, providing rehab and pitch-side support to the Sports Development Officer, including coordination and organisation of ongoing treatment for injuries related to sports events, both on and off campus.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and organise ongoing treatment for injuries related to sports events, both on and off campus.
  • Provide rehab, injury prevention and injury assessment; conduct short assessments of existing injuries and perform taping prior to competitions in a variety of sports (Netball, Hockey, Rugby, Football, Basketball).
  • Work closely with Coaches, the Sports Development Officer, and students; support the sporting and educational ethos within the College.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Sport Rehab are essential.
  • PHICIS and SEN qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience with high-performing sports teams and demonstrated experience in rehab, injury prevention, and injury assessment.
Details
  • Salary: £25,786-£29,273 FTE (SP9-13); Actual salary £7,377-£8,375 depending on experience.
  • Hours: 12 hours per week, Wednesday 8:30–17:00, Friday 8:30–12:30. Permanent, term-time only.
  • Contract start date: asap.
  • Closing date: 9am 13 October 2025.
  • Interviews: w/c 20 October 2025.
